- Weaving Gardens and Spinning Drive became part of our community.
- Installed new welcome signs at entrances to the estate.

- Repainted the green service boxes by the bollards on Ribblesdale Road.

- The council approved a budget for plants and aggregate for the rain gardens.

- Ran several volunteer gardening sessions to weed the rain gardens.
February 2026
- As per our update, we cleared ivy, filled potholes and removed a root.
- Area-wide network of litter picking volunteers established.
- Ivy removed from the end of Covedale Road by Meadfleet.
January 2026
- Estate walk with the council’s Flood Risk Management team to discuss options for the rain gardens.
- Estate walk with the council’s Tree Services Manager to discuss options.
- Our first six Street Champions joined our volunteering team.
- David Rice of David Rice Associates Ltd became our treasurer.
- Residents invited to register with our new website.

- Group registered with the ICO to meet legal obligations.
- Judith Penney became our gardening lead.
- Larwood Grove became part of our community.
November 2025
- First issue of Daley News printed and distributed.
- First members’ meeting at Sherwood Community Centre.
- Area-wide leaf clearance coordinated with the council.
October 2025
- Neighbourhood Watch window stickers distributed around the estate.
- Meeting with Councillor Nayab Patel to discuss better ways of working with the council.
- First appearance of representatives of the estate at The Vale Hotel pub quiz.
- Attended the NCVS Sector Forward conference in Nottingham.
September 2025
- First environmental survey launched to gauge residents’ opinions.
- Meeting with PS Barton and PC Halderson from the local police station to discuss sharing crime data.
- Business bank account set up.
- Work began on our new website.
August 2025
- Community Interest Company registered with Companies House.
July 2025
- New Neighbourhood Watch signs obtained and positioned around the area.
- First volunteers’ meeting at Sherwood Community Centre.
- Priorities identified: trees, leaves, speeding vehicles and better police and council engagement.

- Officially registered with Neighbourhood Watch.
- Over 120 households registered with our community in the first month.
- Branded sherwooddales.org.uk email addresses set up.

- Resident registration flier printed and distributed.
