Update on Progress
Ay-up neighbours! Since our volunteers’ meeting back in July, we’ve been busy working on important setup tasks for our community – that’s why things have been a little quiet. We wanted to give you a quick update on what we’ve been working on, what we’ve achieved so far and what we have coming up. The (Boring) Paperwork and Admin Bit 😮💨 We were finding it difficult to attract grants, funding and donations (especially from our lovely community) without a bank account, but in order to get a bank account, we needed to set up as an official organisation. Summary of the First Volunteers’ Meeting
Ay-up neighbours! We wanted to give you all a quick update following our volunteers’ meeting at the end of July. Thanks once again to all who attended. Overall, the meeting was very positive. We identified a small number of priorities which we can start working on immediately, and generated lots of ideas we can explore as our group develops. In the short term the group will be focusing on the issue of weeds, speeding vehicles and better engagement with the council and police, led by our volunteers.
