Small Wins for our First Birthday
š Ay-up neighbours! On 26 August, our Community Interest Company (CIC) will celebrate its first birthday. We thought weād mark the occasion by having a look at some of our recent small wins. Major objectives such as improving the rain gardens, reducing vehicle speeds in the area, improving the safety of the Mansfield Road junction and ridding the Dales of weeds are difficult and take time, not least because they require active participation from organisations such as the police and the council. Update on Progress – October 2025
Ay-up neighbours! Since our volunteersā meeting back in July, weāve been busy working on important setup tasks for our community – that’s why things have been a little quiet. We wanted to give you a quick update on what weāve been working on, what weāve achieved so far and what we have coming up. Summary of the First Volunteersā Meeting
Ay-up neighbours! We wanted to give you all a quick update following our volunteers’ meeting at the end of July. Thanks once again to all who attended. Overall, the meeting was very positive. We identified a small number of priorities which we can start working on immediately, and generated lots of ideas we can explore as our group develops. In the short term the group will be focusing on the issues of weeds, speeding vehicles and better engagement with the council and police, led by our volunteers.
