It takes a lot of people-power to run our group, particularly if we’re going to achieve all our aims and objectives. Please browse the information below and see if there is anything you would like to get involved in. Volunteering not only improves the lives of others, but can also bring about positive and unexpected improvements to our own lives as well.
If you would like to volunteer with our community, please get in touch using our contact form. If you would like to help but don’t currently have time, please consider donating to help us cover our running costs.
Current volunteer leads are listed in our People section.
Street Champions
Street Champions help ensure their street’s concerns and ideas are heard within the wider community, while keeping local connections strong.
For more information, please check out our Street Champions page.
Gardening
Judith Penney has kindly agreed to lead our garden group, tackling weeds in the area and maintaining the rain gardens. Not only does this make the area look nicer, it may even help if you decide to sell your house.
If you’d like to be involved please use our contact form, or reach out to us on one of our platforms.
Litter Picking
Keeping our streets clear of litter is an important part of maintaining the look and feel of our area.
To get involved, please check out our Litter Picking volunteers page.
Street Watch
Street Watch is an initiative ran by Nottinghamshire Police. You can find out more about volunteering with this scheme in the Street Watch section of our Police and Crime page.
General Information
We endeavour to make sure that all our volunteering activities are covered under Neighbourhood Watch public liability insurance. We ask that a risk assessment is completed for all ad hoc volunteering activities carried out and that volunteers adhere to our safeguarding policy at all times.
Well be adding more volunteering opportunities over the coming weeks, so please check back again soon…
