Volunteers Meeting

Ay-up neighbours!

We wanted to give you all a quick update following our volunteers’ meeting at the end of July. Thanks once again to all who attended.

Overall, the meeting was very positive. We identified a small number of priorities which we can start working on immediately, and generated lots of ideas we can explore as our group develops.

In the short term the group will be focusing on the issue of weeds, speeding vehicles and better engagement with the council and police, led by our volunteers. If you would like anything else to be considered, please use our Request form to submit your suggestions.

In order for us to function as a group we will need a small amount of money to pay for items like meeting rooms, newsletters, websites, signage, etc… We estimate this to be around £1,000 per year, which we will aim to raise via donations and fund-raising events, rather than membership subscriptions. The committee are looking into setting up accounts to facilitate any funds and donations.

Please help us to grow our community by mentioning it to your neighbours. While we have a third of households on board, it would be great to have more. Links to our various channels are included below.

Tarrah for now, mi ducks!
